Texting Drivers at Great Risk of Auto Accident
     A study at the Virginia Tech University Transportation Institute concludes that texting while driving puts the driver at much greater risk of an auto or truck accident.  The study concludes that a driver who is texting while driving is 23 times more likely to be involved in an accident.

The study concludes that distracted driving is dangerous in three different ways:

  • first, and most importantly, it takes a drivers eyes off the road;
  • secondly, it takes the driver's concentration off the road;
  • and lastly, the driver who is texting does not have his hands on the wheel.  The driver is distracted manually, cognitively, and visually.

     About 20% of all accidents are contributed to or caused by distracted driving.  If you have been involved in an auto accident that is not your fault, we can help you deal with recovering all damages you are entitled to.  Call us at 1-866-870-2020.
