Female Pedestrian hit by vehicle
The San Diego Union Tribune reports that a 42 year old female pedestrian was struck and injured by a vehicle as she was crossing the street Sunday night. The accident took place in the Midway area. The newspaper reports that the unidentified female was crossing the street against the traffic light at the intersection of Rosecrans street and Sports Arena Boulevard about 8:00 p.m. when the accident occurred and she was hit by the vehicle. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a hip injury. It is unknown if she was legally crossing the street before the vehicle struck her. It was reported that the police are investigating the accident, and that no arrests have been made.
