CHP officer injured in Freeway crash
A CHP motorcycle officer was injured in a morning rush hour accident on the 405 (San Diego) Freeway in West Los Angeles Wednesday morning. The accident caused a massive traffic jam as police investigated and cleared the accident debris. Photos and video of the crash are posted on KTLA.com.
Reportedly, a driver illegally passing traffic on the right shoulder triggered the major accident. The CHP officer was hospitalized at UCLA Medical Center with critical injuries. The accident occurred during rush hour at 8:30 a.m. Authorities closed both sides of the 405, resulting in a massive traffic snarl.
