Pedestrian Struck and Killed by a Car in Balboa Park
A pedestrian wearing ear plugs was struck and killed by a vehicle in Balboa Park, Tuesday afternoon. The accident occurred on Pershing Drive near Florida Drive. The man who was killed appeared to walk into the driver's path. Police reported that the victim was on the shoulder of Pershing near Florida Drive, when the man looked into traffic, and then continued to walk into traffic. The man continued to walk into traffic after one car swerved to avoid him. Police speculated that he walked into traffic deliberately.
