Bus, Pickup Collision Injures Seven
A North County Transit District bus collided with a pickup truck Saturday afternoon in Valley Center, resulting in the hospitalization of six passengers, as well as the bus driver. According to Police investigators, the pickup swerved across North Lake Wohlford Road south of Valley Center Road, and into the path of the bus, that was traveling north. Police are investigating why the pickup crossed into the northbound traffic, causing the accident. The windshield of the bus was shattered, and moderate damage was caused to the left front end of the truck.
The seven who were hospitalized complained of primarily neck and back injuries. None of the injuries appeared to be serious.
