Police Seek Information re Hit and Run Driver
San Diego Sheriff's deputies are seeking the help of the public to locate a driver involved in a hit and run accident that left an area woman seriously injured. The accident occurred in Encinitas on August 23 at about 8:45 p.m. The woman was crossing South El Camino Real when she was struck by a van heading north. The van continued without stopping, and turned right on Encinitas Boulevard. The van is described as a dark or black colored early 90's Dodge Caravan or Plymouth Voyager. It was likely damaged in the accident and will probably be missing the drivers side mirror. Anyone with information can call the authorities at 760-966-3544.
