Elderly Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit by a Car
Susan Ely lived alone in a small apartment. Last Friday she was walking south on Tierrasanta Boulevard near Tambor Road when she was struck and killed by a 2001 Chrysler sedan. San Diego Police report that Ely was 66, and that the accident occurred about 8:45 a.m. Alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the accident. The driver of the vehicle stopped after Ely was struck, and was cooperating with Police.
