Safety Concerns Regarding Toddlers And Furniture
A recent tragedy that came to my attention points out the dangers that toddlers may face around baby and other furniture.  Small children are naturally inquisitive, and are not aware of the risks that are associated with climbing on furniture.  This story highlights a tragedy that could have been prevented.  Consumer Reports opines that about a dozen children die and at least 15,000 are injured every year by tipping furniture.  Unfortunately, much of the furniture for children is not designed to prevent tipping.  If you think the furniture in your child's room is unsafe, furniture restraints can be installed cheaply and easily.  They are readily available at most hardware type stores.
