San Diego Auto Crash leaves Pedestrian's Body Lodged in Windshield

Bus Crash Kills Basketball Hero

San Diego Driver Crashes into Bus Bench

     A car swerved out of control in the City Heights area Saturday morning, killing a mother, and injuring her son and boyfriend .  The trio was sitting at a bus bench on University Avenue, near Euclid.  The 71 year old driver reportedly suffered from severe low blood sugar , which caused her to lose control of her vehicle .  A security camera captured the tragedy.  The car, a PT Cruiser, jumped the road and plowed straight into the bus bench.  Those ...

Cyclist Accidents Mar Bike to Work Day

     Two bicyclists were injured in separate accidents Friday morning, on Bike to Work Day .  One of those injured was a Scripps Ranch High School Student.  The 16 year old High School student was riding southbound on Scripps Ranch Boulevard when he lost control of his bike, and suffered a severe head injury .  He ran into a utility pole and wall.  He was taken by paramedics to the hospital.

Bicyclist Seriously Injured After Collision With Car Door
    A 46 year old bicyclist riding east on University in North Park was seriously injured when he collided with a car door opened by a young woman who had just parked her vehicle.  The bicyclist was riding east on University near Arizona street when a 22 year old woman parked on the street opened her car door .  The bicyclist hit the door, and went flying off his bike.  He fell on the ground and suffered a life threatening skull fracture, according to police.

     San Diego Union Tribune Columnist Diane Bell has an interesting story in her column this morning on a local resident named Kay Marien, who was badly injured while jogging in La Jolla when a distracted driver ran her down. Unfortunately for Kay, being run over while jogging was not the end of the story.  After months of surgery and treatment, she was recently rear ended by , your guessed it, a distracted driver.

Driver Flees Scene After Running Over 6 Year Old Girl City Heights California
 A six year old girl was hospitalized Sunday after a driver ran her over in City Heights. The facts are a little sketchy, but it appears that the girl may have fallen from another moving vehicle before being struck by a dark blue, small, two door vehicle . The driver of the blue car fled the scene immediately.The driver is described as an Hispanic male in his 30's with a shaved or balding head. The child was taken to Rady Children's Hospital .

Woman Killed in Suspected DUI Car Crash in Downtown San Diego
 A woman was killed and a suspected drunk driver was arrested following a rollover crash in downtown San Diego early Monday morning. The crash took place at the onramp to the 5 freeway from 11th avenue, just a few moments from my office. Fiery Crash that Killed Two in Coronado may have Involved a Carjacking

Wildcat Canyon Road Crash Leaves Lakeside Resident Dead
