A Rottweiler attack on a County mail carrier has resulted in the mail carrier's death, the San Diego Union Tribune reports today. Postal employee Hao Yun "Eddie" Lin was working overtime on a route in Oceanside when he was attacked by the dog on May 25. He suffered a head wound which proved fatal when he died on June 4. In some states, dogs are given “one free bite” before any liability is imposed.  Not so in our state of California .  California Courts impose “strict liability” with respect to dog bites.
