Pain, Suffering, and General Damages: What does this mean?

     In a San Diego personal injury case, an injured party can recover different types of damages , including recovery of medical bills, lost wages, and "pain and suffering," also known as general damages.  Pain and suffering is sometime a difficult concept to grasp.  It can't be easily quantified, like medical bills.  Nonetheless, anyone who has suffered an injury knows that the harm is much greater than simply the medical costs.

Should I contact the Police if I have been in a San Diego Auto Accident?

San Diego Auto Crash leaves Pedestrian's Body Lodged in Windshield

Bus Crash Kills Basketball Hero

San Diego Study: Buzzed Driving Unsafe
A study published today in the journal Addiction concludes that no amount of alcohol is safe to consume before getting behind the wheel of an automobile.   Nationally, most states define driving while intoxicated as a blood alcohol level of .08 .   Driving with a lower alcohol level, or driving “ buzzed ,” is not a crime in most jurisdictions.

Brain Injuries High in Construction Industry
 According to an article in the Journal of Preventive Medicine , the construction industry had the highest number of Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) in the United States, and the forestry and fishing industries had the highest rates of TBI's. Distracted Driving Accidents Don't Always Result in Tougher Laws

San Diego Driver Crashes into Bus Bench

Tragic San Diego Bike Accident

Elderly San Diego Drivers Cause Auto Accidents
     It seems logical, but a new study by Science Daily confirms what most of us already suspect: elderly driver's are less safe and more dangerous on the road .
